Ayurveda Massage and Health Counseling

Ayurveda, developed thousands of years ago by the sages of India, continues to be one of the world's most sophisticated and powerful mind-body health systems to date. Ayurveda considered the "science of life," is designed to do more than merely treat illness and disease. It is a body of wisdom to help people (in a personalized way) stay vibrant and healthy for a long and happy life. Always Mindful Yoga is proud to offer Ayurveda Health Counseling (with Sydney Decker, Inner Element Wellness) and Ayurveda Massage (with Amy McCormack). All sessions are by appointment at the studio.

Warm Oil Relaxation "Ayurvedic" Massage:
Allow yourself to experience the "gifts" of Amy's reiki energy healing hands.
Call or Text (330) 383-2144 to schedule your 75 min. appointment.
Please be mindful that "Ayurvedic" bodywork differs from western massage.
Ayurvedic Warm Oil Massage (Abhyanga) is an ancient Indian therapy for healing and detoxifying the body, mind, and spirit. The specific strokes with the warm oil are intended to be nourishing and pacifying. Ayurvedic techniques are applied to work along the energy channels of your body in a synchronized manner to restore the flow of vital energy or "Prana" where it has become blocked. The lymphatic stimulation moves the toxic accumulation from the channels. This healing stress reduction therapy is performed on a heated bed using warm organic coconut oil, Himalayan salt bags, pure therapeutic grade Young Living essential oils, and soothing rosewater eye pads. Your experience is intended to initiate a deep state of conscious healing and relaxation.

During your session warm oil will be applied to the following areas:
Belly
Scalp and Hair
Neck, Shoulders and Face
Feet and Legs
Hands and Arms
Back and Spine
Each session will begin and end with intention, prayer, and healing sound vibrations from a singing bowl. Rose water cotton pads will be applied to the eyes for soothing and quieting the mind. Essential oils will be diffused releasing negative ions to purify the air, soothe and moisturize the sinuses and warm salt bags will assist healing and relaxation. Each client will receive Amy’s unique reiki healing, loving, and nurturing touch.
It is recommended that you arrive with little to no make up or hair product on as oil will be applied to the hair, head and face. All jewelry will need to be removed. Plan to leave the oil on for at least two hours before showering. Wear warm comfy clothes and something to keep your oiled head warm when traveling home in the cooler months.

Testimonials

“Yoga is a way of life. I've never payed so much attention to my body and mental health until I started taking yoga, and now I'm hooked. If only I knew about the importance of paying attention to my body and the way I look at life a little sooner. But now my eyes are completely open and I have a new appreciation for the knowledge I've attained from Miss Amy and her yoga class. I've never felt so comfortable with a teacher or a class as I have this one! I think if more people paid attention and opened up their minds to what they can learn from yoga.... the world would be a better place!" - Anastasia (K.S.U.)

“I found yoga class to be incredible. The amount of learning you do is crazy, because you can actually take it into your everyday life. Taking yoga is such a great way for me to let off some of my stress. It isn't an exercise, it's a way of life. I love the change in my life, thanks to yoga and Amy." - Jordan (K.S.U.)
